There are a lot of ways to travel and things to see in this world. Depending on what you want to do, you might find yourself going from one place to the next for much of your life. One great way that you might want to tour around the world is by thinking about what kind of sights you would like to see and tailoring your experience based on that. So if you know that you would love to see a lot of nature, you will be able to alter your experience for that purpose. In particular, if you are someone who absolutely loves animals, then there are many things that you can do in order to make sure that you can see as many animals as you like around the world. In this post, we are going to look at some of the best places in the world if you are keen to see a variety of amazing animals.
Galapagos
When Charles Darwin visited the Galapagos islands, he was famously taken aback by the variety of the animals there. One kind of animal he found particularly interesting, and subsequently spent a lot of time with, was the giant tortoise which roamed all over these incredible islands. He even made them a major part of his studies, and they were formative in many of his future ideas around evolution and natural selection. In fact, they are still there today, roaming around as they were in his time, and it is possible that there are one or two there now who were there when he visited last, given the age they can get to. Clearly, the Galapagos can be an incredible place to visit, and many Galapagos tours will centre around seeing many of the beautiful animals that are still there to see.
Thailand
Some places are just so well known for a particular animal that they are indistinguishable from it. This is certainly true of Thailand; most people will think of elephants when they think of Thailand, and it is easy to appreciate why. After all, Thailand is one of the countries with the highest concentration of elephants in the world, and if you visit you will certainly have ample opportunity to come into closer contact with them. If you do want to see some elephants, however, be careful about how you do so. Many of the elephant camps do not treat their animals well, and the last thing an animal lover should do is support an abusive campaign. Somewhere like the Elephant Hills camp should suffice, as they are famous for looking after their elephants.
Australia
Where to begin with Australia? There are just so many kinds of incredible, exotic animals you can see in this beautiful country that it is hard to list them all. But some of the obvious ones are those which you will think of first, and which you might be most excited to see: kangaroos, wombats, wallabees, and of course the much-loved, treasured koala. If you want to see not just Australian animals, but beasts from all over the world, then a visit to the world-leading Queensland-based Australia Zoo is a must.
